Ashley Gambourian is an AV rated attorney at law and is certified by the State Bar of California as an Immigration and Nationality Law Specialist and is currently a member of the Immigration and Nationality law Advisory Commission of the State Bar of California
Ms. Gambourian is associated with the USA China Law Group and assists the Group’s clients to obtain immigrant and non immigrant visas, permanent residency status and all aspects of citizenship applications.
Ms. Gambourian received her law degree from Whittier Law School and her undergraduate degree from UCLA.
Ms. Gambourian prepares petitions for family, employment and investment based immigrant as well as nonimmigrant visas; prepares briefs in support of waivers of various types of grounds of excludability in conjunction with visa applications and in deportation proceedings; and attends adjustment and consular interviews; as well as handling all aspects of citizenship applications. Ms. Gambourian assists clients with EB-5 Investor Visas, L-1a and L-1b visas, H1B visas, and K-1 visas.
Ms. Gambourian formally worked for the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION SERVICE in the Los Angeles District Office where she was a Trial Attorney. She represented the United States Government in deportation and exclusion hearings; conducted preliminary interviews with Government witnesses; prepared legal memoranda, motions and appellate briefs; reviewed charging documents for legal sufficiency; provided litigation reports to Assistant U.S. Attorneys in cases before the federal district court involving immigration law issues; and prepared recommendations to the Regional Office regarding appeals of Ninth Circuit decisions. She also represented the United States Government in federal district court in cases involving petitions for naturalization and interviewed asylum seekers prior to judicial hearings to assess claims, determine credibility and make recommendations regarding further detention of applicants.
In addition she participated in a Special Assignment for the INS and Interviewed immigrants from China aboard a vessel located in international waters to determine their eligibility for refugee status.
Ms. Gambourian is fluent in Armenian and has a working understanding of French, Russian, and Turkish.
